Fantastic $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

After a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners considering you even get introductory guides to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
